Checking your moving company is very easy, just use our guide lines and your done:
1. Get your moving company's DOT number if they don’t have the number DON’T use them.
2. Use our safersys.org checking page by entering the DOT number and clicking submit please pay attention to the following information:
· The number of trucks registered ( one truck usually means a broker and your job gets transferred to some other mover)
· Type of licenses your mover should have the household goods type to move you if nothing is marked or you see PENDING in blue don’t use that company.
· Inspection history, a company with no inspections is either new or not active.
· Insurance history , a company’s revocation of insurance means one of two things too many accidents or they did not pay on time both cases are bad for you.
3. Use our BBB checking page for reputation and resolution history. Simply type the name of the company you need to check and your done.
4. Use our Google search string to check for on line information by typing the company’s name as follows. Example: “company’s name”+scam or complaints instead of the scam or problems instead of the scam.
5. Call us to check with us we know most of the companies out there and we can help you decide.
